Agartala, Jan 23(FD) Prominent BJP leader and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb brought a scathing attack on the CPI(M)-Congress coalition in Tripura on Sunday, saying the two parties "should now be ready to get a befitting reply" from people in the elections later this month as they tried to befool people for decades with false promises."
He asserted that there is no likelihood of the CPI (M), which dominated the state for 25 years, regaining control.
"Communists are no longer present anywhere in the world. Given that it had long repressed the local populace, the CPI (M) had no chance of taking over the state again, Deb declared during a gathering in the Sonamura neighborhood of the Sepahijala district.
The former CM claimed that voters will "drive out" the two parties' nominees.
He claimed that Manik Sarkar, the opposition leader, is enlisting the assistance of the B team (Congress) because "the CPI (M) has lost its power to combat the BJP alone."
He claimed that over 10,323 teachers had their employment terminated as a result of the CPI (M).
He made an oblique assault on Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman by saying, "The huge celebrity, who was standing behind the former chief minister (Manik Sarkar), during a CPI (M)-Congress rally in Agartala, was responsible for their ill-fate."
However, the BJP leader made no more mention of Sudip Roy Barman's alleged involvement in the dismissal procedure.
As a result of the recruitment's constitutional violation, the Tripura High Court cancelled the appointments of 10,323 government school teachers in 2014. The Supreme Court upheld the judgment in 2017.
The opposition, who had "mocked on his initiatives to start Indo-Bangla water transit services — from Udaipur in Gomati district to Daudkandi in the neighboring country," came under fire from Deb as well. He claimed that Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had informed him that the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh was pursuing the issue.
He claimed that the saffron party will "win the election with a large mandate," saying the BJP government in Tripura had "delivered more than it had promised in its vision paper from 2018".
Election to the 60-member Assembly Tripura in Tripura will be held on February 16. FD SB
